This one may be a little more basic or boring than the last few but it’s very practical. The handle is the perfect shape and size for my hand, it’s definitely the most comfortable to hold out of the collection. It’s still local pottery though, like always.
Proof it wasn’t empty and I actually made coffee in it this morning:

That looks like a really nice mug. Walls not too thick, slightly flared top, big handle that's flat and wide too so it's not uncomfortable on your fingers. All it's lacking is a slightly tapered lip and it's perfect.

Thanks! Yeah, it’s the most used mug in the collection for sure. It’s not necessarily the fanciest or the most interesting one I have but it’s easily the most comfortable to use. Function over form I suppose. Not to say it’s ugly by any means, I think it’s still quite an attractive mug, but compared to some others it’s not quite as unique. It’s the most similar to something mass produced I guess.

Shoot, you don't even need a milk drink in that. The glaze is its own milk.
Did you mean to fill it to the top of the black glaze, or was it coincidence?

Definitely a coincidence. It was just my standard 15/240 pour over recipe.

15g grounds, 240g water?
I do 15g grounds, 230g water! Sweet!

Oh neat. Yeah, I find that to be a good ratio and a good amount of coffee for first thing in the morning. Sometimes I’ll go as much as 18g but any more than that and I either don’t finish it or I don’t feel great after.

Same. Bold and strong, but not 'growing hairs on your hairs' strong. I tend to go to 18g on lighter roasts.

I don’t usually vary by roast level, but by brew method instead. Espresso is 18g, pour over is 15g.

I vary by both. I drink for flavor, more so than for caffeine, so I try to get the flavor right for me. Don't get me wrong... I absolutely do drink for the caffeine, but that's not the main goal for me.

Would you call yourself a muggle, then?

Look at you mug mogging all over the rest of us. Keep it up, mad mugger!
