I’ve always felt that the south korean comics I would read were unusually pro-US, but didn’t think much of it. Sometimes (not always) they cast some of the worst parts of our culture in a good light, like leaning very pro-capitalist pro-big tech. I just read something else.

A while back though I read one that portrayed Trump in their story as this muscular, strong willed character who was quick to mobilize the US in defense of the civilians of a foreign country. And I’m just like, how did the author get to this point? Who’s pushing for MAGA simp propaganda in south korea? It’s crazy.

If anything this graph reads like common sense.
