I only started paying attention to him recently, but I could swear he had a little meltdown in a video hating AI and had to calm himself with his word association game. Maybe I’m thinking of his brother.
I mentioned to an acquaintance that this guy seems like an avatar of plague, and he was like “It’s funny, most of his ideas are good.” then went on to list some absolutely crazy bad takes. Clearly this guy is not the one to take health advice from.
You see the expected value fallacy thing pop up in real life when the lottery hits big digits. “Did you hear? The jackpot is over $1 billion! Let’s go buy tickets.”
Let’s be real, after $100 million, or honestly even $10 million, increasing the jackpot doesn’t change how much effect that money has on your life very much. At that point, likelihood is a lot more important.
But every time the jackpot peaks, it’s like all of these intelligent, thoughtful people around me lose their ability for rational thought. Why would you buy a lottery ticket now, but not when the jackpot was $500 million a month ago?
Tbh I don’t mind scraping bots. If the stuff they post is lame I’ll block the bot. Of course original content is better, but lemmy would have a rough time getting by with just its OC.
Pretty much every anime I like is like that. Interesting story, fresh take, strong art direction, just ignore that one bit where this character is a huge pervert.
Like, Overlord is one of the least sexual plots ever. Completely unnecessary to drive the plot forward. But of course some of the characters are obsessed with getting that skeleton dick.
People always tell me I need to keep my phone up to date, but every time I update I regret it. Did so yesterday and they turned a bunch of AI bullshit back on. I’m so tired.
They also changed the way everything looks and I can’t revert it. Took me 40 minutes to change the clock on my lock screen from dark grey back to white.
One could argue that most people don’t eat the ice, so if it melted they might have another sip or two before ordering another. Could possibly make the difference of a drink or two over the night.
For many years I struggled to get my coworkers to understand that a raise smaller than inflation was not a raise. Every person I worked with would defend the company when they underpaid or overworked us. The argument would usually be along the lines of “You can’t blame them, it makes financial sense for a business to do that.” Of course I can blame them for exploiting me!
I finally found people who understood what I believed to be common sense, but I can’t organize any rage because the company I work for now actually treats its employees well.

My understanding is that it’s the original comment’s retweet/reply ratio. At least it used to be.
That thing is cursed and is going to eat you while you sleep.

That’s my specialty!
Tokyo has more people than LA? That’s surprising.

Credit would be nice, though.
You’re the only other person I’ve met who always has theirs on.
Not that it matters much, but I find you can view reddit if you reconnect a couple of times until you find an IP they haven’t blocked.
Makes it, tbh
Famous author, Dr. Hibbert?

“Hey, if you get a tattoo of our company logo, you get an interview!”
“Hell yeah, sign me up! I could use the settlement money from the lawsuit to tide me over until I can land a job.”

Twice
They’re always like this. Another one for the blocklist.
I literally can’t remember the last time I saw Fox News in public. It’s probably region dependent.
Great games, by the way.
