The ranchers are just making noise so they get handouts. You can pretty well guarantee the large ranches will get massive bailouts, while the small ranchers are left hanging
Consumers will temporarily get cheaper beef, but we'll be paying the interest on that loan for a long time
I like how the new line republicans use when people complain about the inevitable shit show that comes from having an incompetent government is basically "hey, you're just going to have to deal with us fucking up your life because our larger mission is to destroy liberalism, allow business to do whatever they want, and install a theocracy."
