A woman I worked with used to say, "Spandex is a privilege not a right."

Is the quote at the bottom suggesting Mr. Thomson is the one in the pink spandex?

BilSabab@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 7d

When you’re a star they let you do it.

Luckily, he has his own under his chin now. I wonder if he grabs it when looking in a mirror, by instinct.

"Died by homoerotic asphyxiation" as a headline would be amusing.

He doesn't like that one because it's attached to an adult.

"You can grab em by the pussy"

Sexual assault as a boon.

sem@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 7 pts · 8d (3 replies)

I don't get it... but it still seems gross somehow.

DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social · 20 pts · 8d (1 reply)

They're saying wear spandex so you get sexually harassed at work.

It was the 60's, they genuinely thought that was a selling point.

AnUnusualRelic@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 6d

Your boss would buy them for you!

BilSabab@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 7d

Jesus Christ, it's no wonder the US is run by a bunch of rapists.

gedfromgont@piefed.ca · 12 pts · 8d

Pretty sure these types of ads weren't just restricted to the US.

BilSabab@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 7d

you only found out about that?

SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca · -4 pts · 8d (3 replies)

Spandex in size 18? yikes.

roofuskit@lemmy.world · 13 pts · 8d (1 reply)

Sizes have trended lower and lower and lower. There's no real standard and brands benefit from having smaller size numbers because of how it makes buyers feel about those clothes.

cantstopthesignal@sh.itjust.works · 5 pts · 8d

Size 000 was introduced in 2014. That was probably the original size 1 and they just kept adding zeros as time went on.
