Depends on the area, I have heard it pronounced erbs.

No, we just have a lot of accents. Plenty of up north and midlands folk would pronounce it 'erbs' and some working class London accents would too.

No 'h' in herbs or heirs. "Try some 'erbs in th' shampoo fer yer 'eirs hairs."

Like the word 'air'.
