It'll work with his core voter base of fucking idiots.

radiofreebc@lemmy.world · 19 pts · 3d

You mean 30% of Americans? America isn't like it is because of Trump. Trump is the way he is because of Americans.

Trump is a symptom. America is the disease.

CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world · 18 pts · 3d (1 reply)

They are reprogrammable meatbots.

Ask one of these "maga" types how and why donnie, as a conservative, got to the point of gleefully raising taxes (aka, tariffs) on all Americans at every possible chance and at such an alarming rate:

"The real Marklar understand that donnie is the true Marklar, because the Marklar view has been that tariffs are actually very Marklar and all of Marklar love them now. Only the RINOs who aren't real Marklar would say that historically tariffs are not Marklar. Anyone claiming to be Marklar and saying tariffs are impoverishing them and destroying their businesses are not Marklar enough to trust donnie's wisdom and his Great Plans. Marklar! USA! USA!"

Everything they say about things like tariffs is exactly as stupid as the above paragraph.

That's a lot of big words for these fuckwits tbh.

How do you protect a democracy when 10% of your voters think the Earth is flat and 65% can’t even read at a 12th grade level when they graduate high school?

Not to mention the fact that anyone from anywhere with any agenda can build a massive platform with enough money, and we have no hate speech laws…

jimmy90@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 1d

the dsa and piker combo is making it ridiculously easy to support this idea

just saying "healthcare" over and over doesn't cut it. get that house in order, or just be filthy commies

“I’m a true American. I believe in the USA,” said the man, outside Christ the Servant Lutheran church in Conway. “And I don’t believe in communism or socialism.”

Therefore, I don't believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Fandangalo@lemmy.world · 17 pts · 3d

Acts 4:32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.

Jesus was a socialist

QueenHawlSera@piefed.social · 5 pts · 2d (1 reply)

This is what I don't understand about victims of capitalism. Why can't they see that the system isn't working for them and thus they need to try something else?

stoly@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 2d

Propaganda

CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 3d

I have to laugh every single time I hear some xtian (probably of the NAR xtian type, too) talk about how because they are xtian and therefore communism and/or socialism == bad.

Especially because I know there are active xtian groups today that practice what is generically called Christian socialism, such as the Hutterites. Also, Christian communism predates the likes of Marx and Engels, FFS.

I wish it wasn't, I wish the Democrats would get up and fight.... Instead they're all "What America needs is a strong republican party to help keep us in check." and "When they go low we go high."

No, it's time to start seeing Republicans for what they really are. Enemies of America, Traitors to the state, and the reason everything sucks.

Corporal_Punishment@feddit.uk · 5 pts · 2d (1 reply)

They really are weak aren't they.

QueenHawlSera@piefed.social · 1 pts · 1d

I just want Democrats to get dirty, start owning the cons. I want them to fight like Republicans. I want a MAGA of the Left.

TropicalDingdong@lemmy.world · 19 pts · 2d (13 replies)

Schumer and Jefferies are going to sell the left out for massive right-wing funding in this campaign cycle and the next. Mark it.

Your enemy is Democrats.

bedwyr@piefed.ca · 17 pts · 2d (10 replies)

To be fair schucmer and jeffries sell us out all the time. The enemy is the democrat establishment you are correct. Without changing that, there is no surviving of this US Republic.

TropicalDingdong@lemmy.world · -5 pts · 2d (9 replies)

This will be different. Just mark it and follow up.

Fredthefishlord@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 2 pts · 2d (7 replies)

Yeah guys the storm is coming

You sound like q right now

They're pieces of shit sellouts, but they're not going to kick that up or down a notch

TropicalDingdong@lemmy.world · -1 pts · 2d (6 replies)

Schumer and Jefferies will side with the fascists and criminalize resistance to the state, and any mention of socialism or social democracy. Mark it. Just because I don't have the time to sit down with the smooth brains and soothe their bones about the baseline authoritarianism which is represented by the Democrats as a function of the way the manage their party and the country when in power; it doesn't leave the rest of us oblivious to taking them at face value and evaluating them against deeds, not words.

Democrats act not more in the favor of the people than Republicans. They're by and large a pro genocide, pro fascism, pro corporate party. Not by what they say: by what they do. They chose to not make a clear separation in their manners of governence under all* Obama and Biden and Clinton. Democrats are largely islamaphobes. They're largely projewish supremacist. They're proethnostate when it finds their campaign. They aren't in this for you. They are in this for them.

What do you think the Kushner meeting was for? I'll give you a hint. Kushner isn't suddenly finding the light and looking to help find an anti authoritarian uprising in the Democratic party.

Disagree if you think you know better. But fucking mark it and come get your lickens later. My guess is that when it happens, they'll arrest Piker and maybe one DSA candidate (probably a male, brown, Islamic).

I didn't read that, you are a troll that abuses people. You can act normal for the people that trust you, but I know better troll.

TropicalDingdong@lemmy.world · 0 pts · 2d (4 replies)

"everything which doesn't agree with my view is a troll" and other liberal fantasies

bedwyr@piefed.ca · 1 pts · 2d

There you go, lying about what you are for the benefit of people that haven't seen you troll people. You are a troll. We both know it. A rather dull insufferable one at that.

Maybe you are just a mean drunk that can't handle your booze.

Our enemies are criminal politicians.

mrmisses@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2d

You mean our enemy is Democrats that act like Republicans.

So our enemy is all of the Republicans and some of the Democrats that definitely need to be replaced with DSA

Communism is pretty rad.

sparkee@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 3d

This is a terribly written article. It contains absolutely no polling data or voter statistics, relies entirely on anecdotal evidence in the form of quotes from four South Carolina voters. At best they provide evidence Fox is engaging in a Democrats are socialist campaign but literally does nothing to support or disprove the central question in the title.

Words like communist, anarchist, radical, and terrorist lose all meaning of these people. They say those words as meaning "people we do not like and want the state to 'deal with'".

ILikeBoobies@lemmy.ca · 3 pts · 2d (4 replies)

“I don’t like the DSA,” Charles Rogers said, referring to the Democratic Socialists of America, as he left a polling station at Marion intermediate school. “I don’t like how the Democrats want to back them. Democrats used to be for the working man, but something’s changed … I do not agree with the DSA, and more Democrats are backing them with crazy ideas.”

mrmisses@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 2d (3 replies)

One problem with electing dems that can't defend common sense policies like Medicare for all, or don't do a genocide is that if they don't have the communication skills to sell good policies then they don't have the communication skills to defend who they are. It's a problem of their own making.
