Kat von D

Just wondering, has Kat von D redeemed herself these days? I know that she recanted her anti-vaxx bullshit but I haven't heard anything else.

The reason I'm fishing for information here is that over the last couple of months I've gone from looking forward to the new In This Moment album, to being a little put off when I found out they were part of a tour with Kat von D, to being a lot put off when I discovered that they've even done a song with her in their new album. And now I haven't even listened to it, now that it's out.

Apart from thinking that it's pretty fucking weird to have someone who publically said she threw all of her witchcraft books away because she found gawd, on your album that's literally called "Witch"; my woke SJW sense is tingling and I'm getting red flags here now.

So what's the consensus on Kat von D these days? Was there a redemption that I missed? Or do I need to start looking at In This Moment and Maria Brink differently now?

Last I heard she's a neo nazi who's friends with abusive rapists like Manson. That's not redeemable behaviour.

Fuck sake the metal scene is rotten these days. Oh well it's not like I haven't had practice dropping bands and actors and shit over this last decade. Guess I can add In This Moment to that list now too.

Metal is wild, I love it. But hate having to look up bands on the spreadsheet before I support them.

Also curious. I didn't know In This Moment was even still active.

Yeah they just released their new album two days ago. To seemingly very little fanfare, at least as far as my algorithm goes, which is pretty much 99% women in music.
