Very similar post to last night but whatever, I’m excited to talk about this again.
Beans are Supernova by Hatch, based in Markham, Ontario. They’re a medium roast, and I mostly get berries and dark chocolate from it. It seriously tastes just like chocolate covered berries, it’s fantastic. Some acidity but not too strong, nice and sweet, slightly floral on the nose but not really on the palate.
Glass is Propel by KRUVE, based in Toronto. I bought them from Cafuné, based in Montreal. A very Canadian drinking experience I suppose.
Machine is Gaggia Classic Pro, the 2019-2022 model but without the flakey boiler thankfully.
Scale is Timemore Black Mirror Mini. Grinder is Timemore S3, ground on a 0.2. This isn’t really an espresso grinder but it does these beans well.
Any other questions, please ask. I want an excuse to talk about this more.

I'm a caffeinated man. I see someone enjoying coffee, I upvote.

Have you tried the longer, coarser grind recipes, like allonge or sprover?

I haven’t tried those before. Longest I’ve gone is 18/40 but I’d be willing to try other options.

Its hard to fit a cup big enough for a sprover AND the scale under the Classic, but I think it's ts worth it. TBF you don't really need the scale, just fill the cup in 30 (ish) seconds.

Yeah I don’t have much clearance on my machine, I’ll probably just have to eyeball it.

Works great for these ratios. Try it with a lighter filter-focused roast.

Will do. Thanks for the recommendation, I’m looking forward to playing with this one.

Hello, fellow GTA'er. I, too enjoy me some Hatch coffee.
Lately though, I've been drinking Cocoa Bomb from Mississauga's Pirates of Coffee (they're nearby the Princess Auto just North of Dixie/401).

I’m not quite in the GTA but I’m close by and go there often. I’ll have to check them out, I know exactly where that is. I didn’t realize there was a roaster there before, thanks for the recommendation.
