I've been using scissors for all kinds of stuff that comes on rolls. Aluminium foil, baking paper, saran, gift wrap ... though saran is still a pain, because it sticks to itself. Even adhesive tape, never trust the built-in cutting solutions!

I've long since ditched the grocery store stuff and have gone with the restaurant quality giant rolls with a sliding cutter built right into them. If someone you know has a membership to a Restaurant Depot or similar, definitely ask them. One of those rolls will last years in a home kitchen and I basically never deal with the plastic not tearing right.
You can usually find them under food service cling film.

Afaik (may have changed since I was there), you don't need a membership to shop at Restaurant Depot, you just don't get the club member discount.

this is incredibly inaccurate.
When this happens i instantly transcend rage and go full circle into complete calmness, because i know that the people responsible are certainly going to hell before they die, the infernal flames fueled by my fury.
