Off topic to your question, but yah Hackernews really has become a defacto echo chamber for the latest LLM/AI news hasn’t it?

Back on topic, Arstechnica has several rss feeds that are pretty tech oriented and interesting. However a lot of those articles get reposted to Lemmy tech communities lol

I'm searching myself as I found myself in the same situation. I do tend to just go straight to the source and follow feeds from various Foss projects they are also not spamming you with articles and normally only post if if it its noteworthy.

I also am subscribed to AlternativeTo but they are also fairly slopified. You can probably filter it out if they tag the articles accordingly but didn't look into that myself.
