I recently saw someone using one on a relatively calm, local lake. It looked really awkward and I finally looked it up today. Is this fun or used for a workout?
Note: They're making it look less awkward than it really looks irl by slowing it down. If it's fun, that's cool.

I was watching some nordic looking dude go around a whole lake on one of these, it looks like hard cardio similar to running.

I used to see them a lot in South Florida. Vacationers and locals on the beach and ICW. Also saw a girl with an inflatable wing sail on one. I assume training for the Olympics or something crazy because it was 13c at the time.
