It appears Bayley won't be leaving WWE anytime in the near future.
The belief within WWE is that Bayley has already re-signed with the company, according to False Finish. She will be more involved with WWE beyond just being an on-screen talent, although what exactly her other duties will be is unknown.
PWInsider has also noted that Bayley is expected to remain with WWE and there have been creative pitches for the 37-year-old to resurface on Monday Night Raw. The expectation is Bayley will be back on the road likely within the next few weeks.
Bayley has been absent from WWE TV since a post-match attack from Lyra Valkyria at the July 18 episode of Saturday Night's Main Event. It was noted after that show that Bayley's contract was expected to expire around the beginning of 2027 and she had a decision to make, with the former WWE Women's Champion expected to have interest from both WWE and AEW.
Bayley did tease a potential appearance at AEW All In 2026 on social media, with the post considered "eyebrow-raising" by some backstage within WWE. It appears Bayley won't be reuniting with Mercedes Mone in All Elite Wrestling, however.
Bayley has been a part of WWE since December 2012 and she has been one of the top stars in the WWE women's division over the past 14 years, first in NXT and then on the WWE main roster. Across her WWE career, Bayley is a one-time NXT Women's Champion, one-time Raw Women's Champion, two-time SmackDown Women's Champion, one-time WWE Women's Champion, and two-time WWE Women's Tag Team Champion with Sasha Banks (Mercedes Mone).

I don't know why she wouldn't at least test out free agency, with her best friend and greatest rival tearing shit up in AEW and around the world and a bunch of fans (including said best friend) practically begging her to jump ship. It just seems silly for someone in her position to not at least test the waters.
To say nothing of what went down in WWE over the summer with New Day and others. If I were her, I wouldn't trust any deal they could possibly offer me.

It wouldn't be surprising if Bayley asked Mercedes how much she's making in AEW and figured out a ballpark figure for herself, but I do agree it's weird she didn't wait to talk to both sides.
I remember a quote, I think from Kevin Owens, that was about how choosing what company to work for isn't all about the matches you'd have, it's also about the people you won't work with. He said he has a lot of friends back stage at WWE, and saying goodbye to them would be hard.

I totally understand this. Leaving Walmart seemed like an easy choice, because the company absolutely sucks, but the people I worked with every night were genuinely good people who helped me out when I fell on hard times.
