One Trump voter issued a tear-filled video regretting his decision to vote for the president after his brother, who served with U.S. special forces, died while in Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
In a video posted to social media, Naseer Paktyawal tearfully recalled his brother's service to the country and the moment that ICE "kidnapped" him in front of his son, Imrin. ABC News initially posted the video.
...
"I saw two cars unmarked. Seven, eight people jump out of those cars," Paktyawal said. "One on the driver's side, one on the back of his car, and grabbed him from his seat and put a handcuff on him."
Mohammad Nazeer Paktyawal's son, Imrin, was also featured in the video and recalled witnessing his father's arrest. "I was standing there, and then they came and just take him," the boy said.
Imrin added that he was "standing there" as the agents hauled his father away. "I was like, just don't take him, please," Imrin recalled.
According to Paktyawal, he later received a call from an ICE facility. "I thought they were going to release him back," Imrin said.
"He said, 'Are you, Naseer?' That's me," Paktyawal said. "Your brother Mohamed Nasir Paktyawal passed away this morning and his body is laying down in a parking lot in the hospital."
...
"My first vote was for this president, and I regret it, and I'm gonna regret it for the rest of my life," he added. "Because of me, because of my voting, He got arrested, and he lost his life. And I'm never going to forgive myself for that."
CNN reported that he was taken by ICE agents outside of his Dallas apartment and died less than a day after being in ICE custody. His family said that Mohammad had no known health conditions and had been seeking asylum in the U.S. since his arrival in 2021.

I feel sorry for the kid but Naseer can fuck right off. He voted for this to happen to other people and I’m quite sure those feelings have not changed.

Oh, you didn't care when it was someone else's father/brother being kidnapped and murdered, but tears when it's your own? Fuck you, I wish you have the day you voted for.
How about you feel regret when you realise your vote did this to other people? Actually wait, I hope you are the next person the ice goons target.

Sucks to suck, fuckass. You got what you voted for. Have fun with that.
I’m fresh fucking out of sympathy for people who don’t care about - or, as we see here, full-throatedly support - the fascists until it personally affects them.

Heartbreaking.

There is no functional difference between a society that rejects mercy and forgiveness for those who repent their actions and the society fascists want to create.
I'd say be better, Lemmings in these comments, but y'all are clearly far too absorbed in your own self righteousness, like any other villain.

Some are a bit hash. But if my wife, or my daughter, or I am killed in a fascist concentration camp, I hope people laugh at my dumbass family that enabled it too.

that's a particularly egregious false equivalence. Your take would leave folks who don't feel empathy and forgiveness for the drunk driver runs over 5 children at a school crossing as the same (like any other villain) as the driver themself. One a forseeable action resulting in death, pain and suffering (how he voted) the other is dismissive of his crocodile tears ? and you suggest those two are both villainous ?
IMO the brother is guilty of culpable homicide, he didn't "pull the trigger" but the outcome was foreseeable

My pity is reserved for your victims. You deserve only scorn.

There’s a pathway to redemption, you need to look to what Luigi did. Speaking of course about my favorite game Luigi’s Haunted Mansion where he breaks into a mansion and eradicates all the demons.
