Today's game is Project Zomboid. Me and some friends got back on our world and even got a new person on. I took the chance to blacksmith them a weapon and even build a fancy new materials cabinet. I asked them what they wanted and they said a machete, so i tried to make one for them. It was a little more of a headache finding the materials, but i did eventually get there.

More excitingly, i tried making one of our characters a set of plate armor. I mixed things up a little bit but the whole thing came out pretty coherent. They said they liked how mixed up the parts are because it makes them feel like an "apocalypse knight", so it looks like i wont be returning to the forge.

We had started to run low on food, so we all piled up into the mom van and took a trip to raid the local neighborhood houses. I ended up nabbing a deepfreeze i found too and loaded that in the backseat. I found we were running low on fridge space, as while our chef is low on food they insist on keeping raccoon heads in the freezer. As they are our main food person we have no choice but to comply.

Finally, we returned home for the night. We've been talking about making a trip into Louisville which would be interesting. Our new player was sure it "can't be that bad" so we'll have some fun seeing their opinion i suppose. We had everyone log off after and i went back to my Pokemon Platinum.

As the audience, I want it to be really bad now 😁
Also, where are the plate armour pics?

Louisville is quite bad, but by the time you get there it might not feel as bad because you should have decently good equipment. As a new player though...

Oops. I sent the wrong ones for the plate armor. I’ll get some next time I play that are clearer

Every time I hear about Project Zomboid, it looks like exactly the kind of game I'd want to play... but on a mechanics level only. I never really cared about zombie survival stuff, and the huge craze around the genre in the mid 00s to 10s only killed it to me.
I have the game somehow, probably from a bundle long ago.

I mean technically you can play a primitive run or a run with no zombies in the world whatsoever since the game has full custom sandbox settings.

I’d say you can just turn off the zombies, but I feel like that’d take a lot of the point out of it. Though, now that I say that I’m tempted to try it just to see what it’s like. I feel like it’d be interesting

I've always wanted to play Project Zomboid so bad but none of my friends are into it and it looks like it'd be rough solo.

If by rough you mean difficult, you can actually fine tune the settings in game to match what you want. Like if you want something where zombies go down super easy and supplies are super common you can easily set the save settings to that.
I will add though they’re different experiences when comparing Solo and Multiplayer

This is good to know, I might try it out then! I think I've watched streamers play it in higher difficulties so it looked brutal.
