Seeing so much land "development" is depressing

Its just a sinking feeling. Destroying 100 year old tree belts, fields, grassland, to build more fucking banks and gas stations. Dont we have enough of that shit?? Oil won't even be viable in a decade, wtf is the point of more gas stations. Almost all money is digital and everyone works from home yet they build bank upon bank.

*and yes I get that fields get watered and sprayed with pesticide etc. I'd still rather have that than more damn banks and concrete wastelands.

The point is to keep more people employed. If we start giving people resources without employment, then billionaires would have to give away a lot more money.
