Right. The US currently has this hot patching or make-new-loophole-laws thing. And it has negative side effects. The proper law amendment process is long and slow. Weird things happen when we do things hastily... tariffs, renaming\redrawing lines, Trump currency, and just maybe banning our own $100.
It's so weird right now.
