Only Don’t Nod game I’ve played is Jusant and it was absolutely superb. Loved the world building and gameplay. I’d be disappointed to see them go just off the back of that one game.

Unfortunately thir games don't really have much mass market appeal and they haven't innovated. They very much make the same game again and again and again and again with iterative improvements.

Jusant was very much different from their typical narrative game.

This isn’t true. Their catalogue is quite diverse.

Looks like the hail mary pass to bring Max and Chloe back didn't go too good.

That's Square Enix/Deck Nine. Dontnod haven't been involved with LiS since LiS2.
Their latest titles were Jusant, Lost Records, Banishers: Ghosts of Eden, and Aphelion. They also published The Lonesome Guild that I know of, which unfortunately didn't sell well either.

Sounds like layoffs are incoming.

Oh - They made Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, too?
I played that game on PS+, without even knowing the central conceit. It was interesting for a while, but it does feel strange that one protagonist is using a sword while the other is just punching.

If always wondered if crowdfunding could help a studio in this position.
