There’s been no progress on building their U.S. factory in years either. They cut a huge number of trees down and then the land’s just been sitting empty ever since.

Interesting. I've ridden in VF cars a bunch in Vietnam and I never had any problems.

It will be allowed in the category that it fits: golf carts, utility carts, or neighborhood electric vehicles.

Unless they have dropped the policy where they sell you the car, but not the battery in it and you pay monthly to use the battery, I don't particularly want them to sell any cars anywhere. Hugely predatory, making them huge assholes.
