You seem unaware that film isn't like digital. You can scan in film with better equipment and get better quality, it's not pixels. Sure, they do other things like sharpening and digital editing for further increased quality but the whole reason it's possible in the first place is that it's analogue film. It's obviously not an infinite thing, but you can't do this with digital at all (any digital upscaling is "fake").
