The high fructose corn syrup that is sold is most stores here in American is absolutely fucking disgusting. I'll gladly go hungry before I eat that trash. I will not eat pancakes or waffles with that rubbish. I am glad I live in the northeaster US and get domestic supply at farmers markets.
