When the ads and sponsorships came to Youtube, that was the beginning of the end. It's funny how lately there have been very old videos that pop up from time to time selected by the algorithm that show how far it's fallen from the simple "You"tube days where you just made content and let that determine the success.
And along with it came the YT voice, The thumbnail formula (big head with curious face, chunky typeface, and an action background), and keyword loaded titles.
So much boring uniform ‘content’. That word is becoming a capitalist chore.
