For my birthday today, I played morrowind, oblivion (original), and Skyrim in 2 hour intervals, in order, repeating the cycle. I had a ton of fun.

Do you mind talking about why you did the two hour switching thing? Did it keep things interesting?

Without trying it, I would guess it would be confusing/annoying jumping between stories like that.

Prolly the autism.

But mostly, it’s probably to prevent me from hyper focusing on the same game the whole day. I tend to do that and it makes me burn out on a game before I even finish it.

And also, I always have scheduled my free time, even as a kid. It helps with decision paralysis and anxiety.

Oh, and - Happy Birthday!

I see where you're coming from on the "getting burned out focusing on one game" thing.

Personally, that time I spend hyper focusing on the one game tends to be the only time I'm actually having fun with a game. Well, sometimes.

I'm glad this works for you. Sounds neat. I might try it.

Why does everything in the pic look miniature?

shiroininja@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 5d (1 reply)

I guess maybe the angle/focus? I didn’t notice until I read your comment
