It really should have been given more time in the oven. It's crazy how it's still getting massive breaking updates after release.

There would be so much less hate if they had just tagged it as an early access game, because it very much is unfinished and released way too early. Ugh, I hate that I paid $20 for it on release.

Well, I guess only time will tell if the $20 was worth it. Hopefully Garry can manage to turn this around and make it a good engine with a decent platform.

Reminds me of Dreams on the PS4. Cool idea for a console exclusive. When it comes to PC why would someone develop something for s&box when they could learn a more popular game engine?

S&box started development in 2015 before getting stuck in development hell for over a decade. This sort of game would have made a lot more sense if it'd released in the 2010s as planned.

The whole thing stinks of the sunk cost fallacy.
