Sorry… what is the context of this post? I found that A24 had some AI deal with google (which would admittedly be enough to cause this reaction) but it was over a month ago that news broke.
I mean... if they are going through with making the movie and are okay with the creative commons licensing, I might just go out of my way to financially support the heck out of it, and encourage anyone else to do the same. Big companies embracing CC-SA (and similar) and being commercially viable doing so would be pretty amazing. Hope something comes of this.
Can you enforce the copyleft Creative Commons licenses without being the copyright holder (i.e. as a 3rd party beneficiary) [aka by anyone denied the rights given by the specific license]? Has that ever happened?

I've never seen it, which is a damn shame. Have seen my share of GPL violations but never had the patience or energy to do anything about it.
