What’s your most used line?

Mine is this and Leela’s “oh lord.” I mean, there are so many, but those two top the charts.

I love to use, "You are technically correct, the best kind of correct".

deadbeef79000@lemmy.nz · 3 pts · 2y

I used to use this all the time at my old job, because literally every decision made there was made by a committee of people basing their decision on feelings.

It felt good to passive-aggressively point out decisions that actually had technical merit with this phrase.

Olivia5k@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2y

Definitely this one for me too! I usually remix it somehow, like "You are technically correct, the most celebrated form of correct", or some such.

Che_Donkey@lemmy.ml · 2 pts · 2y

This comment is technically correct. The best kind of correct.

DudeBro@lemm.ee · 58 pts · 2y (1 reply)

I'm gonna make my own (thing)! With blackjack! And hookers!... In fact, forget the (thing)!

it can be used in so many contexts and the last line usually gets a laugh.

Agingtoofast@reddthat.com · 5 pts · 2y

Definitely a staple

RoseTwiddler@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 54 pts · 2y (2 replies)

"Good news, everyone!" by far.

Agingtoofast@reddthat.com · 9 pts · 2y

I weirdly never picked that one up. I’ll have to work it into my meetings.

perviouslyiner@lemm.ee · 4 pts · 2y

Ah yes, the classic game of "Professor Farnsworth or James May?"

Shut up baby, I know it.

Goes over a lot better after showing the wife the episode

Shut up, baby. I know it.

I pretty frequently ask "to shreds you say?" And also "how'd you like to make a metaphorical deal with the devil? And by devil I mean robot devil and by metaphorically I mean get your coat" anytime I'm going out

Agingtoofast@reddthat.com · 2 pts · 2y

Haha. That’s a great one.

The amount of times I've shouted this at my coworkers when they are working at hights is ridikkerous.

Did you say... "ridikkerous"?

It’s a dangerous path I bounce… but I bounce it alone. Because the Hundred Acre Wood needs a hero, Pooh Bear! And I’m the only one.

And I think about the Moon song more often than I'd like to admit.

vzq@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 8 pts · 2y

And I think about the Moon song more often than I'd like to admit.

Pretty much any time I think of the moon, or whaling. Or harpoons. Or tunes.

Agingtoofast@reddthat.com · 4 pts · 2y

Omg! I will randomly start humming that song too! I guess it’s not surprising given how many times I’ve watched.

BowserBasher@lemmy.world · 24 pts · 2y

“Perfectly symmetrical violence never solved anything.” Gets a lot of use when playing Mario Kart with friends when two people hit each other with the same items or hitting each other with stars activated.

douz0a0bouz@midwest.social · 23 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Probably, “Good news everyone”. Although my favorite is, “To shreds you say,” need to work that in more.

Agingtoofast@reddthat.com · 3 pts · 2y

I do try to work in “to shreds you say,” but it’s not as embedded as “oh lord” for me.

scrawny_clown_snatch@lemmy.world · 21 pts · 2y (1 reply)

"I've got one of those things! Like a headache with pictures!"

"You're screwier than my Aunt Rita, and she's a screw!"

And pretty much every line from Roswell That Ends Well is in my daily rotation.

Haha. “I did do the nasty in the pasty.”

Probably a bunch of other things I don't even remember being from the show.

Agingtoofast@reddthat.com · 2 pts · 2y

Ohhh…I say “neat” all the time and didn’t connect it until now.

Macaroni_ninja@lemmy.world · 17 pts · 2y (1 reply)

With my wife we often quote the two Benders, when there is a minor inconvenience:

"-Our universe is DOOMED!

-DOOOOMEEEED!!"

deadbeef79000@lemmy.nz · 1 pts · 2y

I tend to use "you want me to do two things?"

Awa@lemmy.world · 16 pts · 2y (1 reply)

For no raisin.

deadbeef79000@lemmy.nz · 3 pts · 2y

"Yes, big brain am winning again, I shall now leave earth for no raisin!"

Also

I’m a bit underwhelmed by the new season, but I’m enjoying the nostalgia factor.

espais@programming.dev · 5 pts · 2y

Hard to say which is used more by my wife and I between:

“Huh, learn something dumb every day!”

“Shut up baby, I know it!”

That sound Amy makes when she doesn’t answer yes or no and just goes “Guuhh!”

If I'm feeling happy and gettin productive I tend to sing "bend it bend it just a little bit, and take it easy hmm hmm hm hm hmm"

I guess since I don't know much more of the song I start humming but I love that song

June@lemm.ee · 6 pts · 2y

Fry tells leela not to do something ever and it’s ridiculous but I can never remember what he says so my head canon has turned it into ‘don’t apologize for anything, ever’ and I use it all the time.

Good news everyone is the real one though.

Good News, everyone!

Awesome. Awesome to the max.

meathorse@lemm.ee · 5 pts · 2y

As so many here have said: "Let's go already!" When trying to get the kids out the door.

A close second is "Windmills do not work that way! GOODNIGHT!" When they ask questions that make no sense or when they should be in bed asleep.

Che_Donkey@lemmy.ml · 4 pts · 2y

Kif, inform the men...(this part i improvise with whater they need to be informed about...like making it with a woman). Also, when asked about what something is maed out of, i usually say "Velour" before answering properly.

readbeanicecream@kbin.social · 4 pts · 2y

PeWu@lemmy.ml · 3 pts · 2y

It is what it is.

Polish: "Nie wiem, nie znam się, nie orientuję się, zarobiony jestem", shortened to "Nie znam się" English: "I don't know, I don't know (as of knowledge), I don't catch on, I'm busy" (roughly translated)
