Thank you, I haven't done the kapton tape yet but hairspray did the trick for my first couple of prints.

That's an interesting idea but I don't know if there's a market for it where I'm at, we don't have the best local economy.

I see your point on patience, the biggest reason I want to fix the v3 and let my daughter have the other two is automatic bed leveling. Doing it manually sounds like a chore.

The trouble with it is, it's secured to the SD card adapter with conductive tape. I think the tape is losing its adhesion and I don't know if I want to take a stab at soldering the ribbon cable to the adapter instead.
