can’t a guy get his ears pierced in piece without the constant barrage of canvassers? one place, i tells ya, signed up for a great deal on piercings— 3rd one free they said— I get in the chair and after the first one? by god. A TIMESHARE presentation.
But seriously what the fuck is up with people trying to sell internet deals in meat space?
If you dont have an internet connection by now you seriously have gone well out of your way to avoid it or cut it out. If you do already have an internet connection, you can use said internet to change providers.
Its more perplexing than vexing, and it vexes me so
They want to catch the least tech-literate people they can. It's easier to hoodwink them and sell them a more expensive plan with empty buzzwords. That involves finding people away from their computer, and anyone who might help them avoid being conned, and getting them to sign a paper contract then and there.

Seriously, can't an orc just pick up some manflesh on the way home from work without having to talk to anyone?

For real, why did I have to tell an AT&T person that I wasn't interested in the middle of Target? Who tf does this sales tactic work on?
