@pnutzh4x0r@StewartGilligan do tell about this mozilla.social. Like is it worth checking out and telling people about? Do you have or know someone who has an account?
Mozilla has set up an instance on Mastodon. But it is understandable that they have presence on mainstream social media websites since that is where most of their users are.
If there's an official account for Firefox on mastodon or elsewhere on the fediverse it doesn't appear to be easy to find.
There is a @mozilla@mozilla.social, but despite having twenty thousand followers it appears to have been inactive since June and has only ever made 7 posts.
Firefox, the browser, was originally named after a red panda
Actually, it was originally named Phoenix. Then they changed it to Firebird to avoid infringing on the Phoenix BIOS company's trademark, then they changed it to Firefox because there was already a database program named Firebird.
I was sticking up for OP who just wanted to post a meme but this place can't help itself from repeating the same sentiments over and over like a bad tick

I wish they had a mastodon account... they have https://mozilla.social, but they don't have an account there... which is bizarre.
They do have an account for Firefox Nightly and Firefox Dev Tools account though.

My Mastodon feed is pretty dry. Does anyone have any follow recommendations for active accounts that post about tech stuff Or pictures of critters?

Consider subscribing to a hashtag. That way your feed will be a lot more active.

It's a shame that they are still using Twitter instead of Mastodon

Red Pandas are also often known as η«η in chinese, which literally translates to βfire foxβ.

On the internet, nobody knows you're a red panda.

That just makes no sense. Next you'll tell me that onions have no business in making my Tor experience more anonymous either?

The screenshot is from Squawker which is an anonymous read-only Twitter client, Twitter is shit but I thought it'd be worth mentioning that.
