When I was 10, all games looked like Minecraft's textures. And you can forget 3D. And the controllers were square-edged bricks that left stinging blisters in your sweaty palms after 12 hours of Super Mario 3. And the flickering CRT leaving your eyes dry as a desert with a pounding headache. Those were the days let me tell you.
But you know what we also had? Instant loading times, no waiting on updates, and no lootboxes.

To get the full effect they'll need to display it next to a pack of astronaut ice cream and some super cool geode rocks

even though i knew astronaut ice cream was bullshit, i was sad when i didn't get any but the others on the school trip did.

"This is a sample of astronaut ice cream sold in our museum in 1987. Visit our gift shop to purchase your very own astronaut ice cream."

They still make it! It looks even cheaper than it did in the 90s.

I just imagine his line tick-tock-tick-tocking back and forth while Imogen desperately tries changing from a gorilla into a cat to catch the canary.
