I'm not sure about that part. If it's in Hebrew, greek or Aramaic in the original. The Hebrew name for the Torah-God is based upon breathing, something very human and corporeal.
The verse I'm referencing is exodus 3:13-14
I'm not familiar what translation you would use in (modern) Hebrew. A translation called "compete Jewish bible" says: "ehyeh Asher Ehyeh"
No it's not blasphemy. It's a form of orthodoxy. "God made man in his image", Jesus is "son of man", and "the way and the life". It's pretty much there in the text that the bible in parts is just a set of instructions and examples to follow. So, yes. God stands for us. At least as a part of us. (God is portrayed as saying "I am", meaning when you say "I" you say "god".) god is the part of humans that creates. But we are both creators and creatures.
I'm not in a religion or anything. Just autistic with the bible as a hyperfocus, so take that caveat
If you've been clear and direct about your boundaries and your family keeps breaking them, then it's time to put up walls.
I've cut out my family for years until I and they were ready to talk
The way I did it was just trying a name in a small circle of friends for a while and then introducing it in the workplace. I feel like I only knew if my name suited me was hearing other people say it and "trying it on"
DM'ing my first DnD one-shot. I really didn't know how it would work out, if it would even happen (people are unreliable sometimes), or if I was putting way too much work into it.
But we all had such a blast and we already have the next two sessions scheduled. And my friendship with my colleagues is blossoming from it and it gives me such a feeling of belonging and being appreciated.
Being autistic and socially awkward, this is a really big step
Finally watched One Battle after Another. It was really as good as everyone says. Surprising the messages that are possible to take away from it.
10/10 recommended
I just had my first one-shot DnD where I DM'ed for colleagues. We played a setting that I bought at a con recently. It's about Italian renaissance, so that's my hyperfocus now. Researching about venice, Florence, davinci, art, society.... It's been really fun to play (even though we went way too long with about 8 hours T_T)
Now I also started researching more about DM'ing in general, tricks and tipps. I hope I don't do too much or work in the wrong direction.
What?
Yeah No fucking shit Sherlock
Dust off the old "killer video games make shooters" narrative boys, it was a hit the first time around
