I was stuck in the hospital for a bit, so I watched Beverly Hills Cop, Beverly Hills Cop 2, and Groundhog Day.

Once I got home, I also watched half of HellSing, which I've never seen before, but is definitely a vibe.

Finally watched One Battle after Another. It was really as good as everyone says. Surprising the messages that are possible to take away from it. 10/10 recommended

finally got around to watching Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion (1970) and it was very good, about as subtle as a brick to the face but i think it kind of needed to be.

Hoping to finish Outlander this week. Fast forwarding through the sex and violence. Do not recommend.

Enjoying Maximum Satisfaction Guaranteed and Good Girls Guide to Murder.

The Big Lebowski on Tuesday, and I've had Creedance stuck in my head ever since.

Movies I've watched this week - Sling Blade, One Eight Seven, A Walk Among The Tombstones, Daybreakers.

I also watched a documentary Japan: Earth's Enchanted Islands and finished up a rewatch of DanMachi I'd started a couple of weeks ago.

Sunshine (2007). I'm not sure how I've never run across this one before, it is totally the sort of sci-fi I would have been into in the 00's and the cast is stacked. Some controversy over the third act, but with or without the subject of that controversy, a really interesting movie. It feels a little different in 2026 with more direct evidence of climate change in our daily lives.
