i see where you're coming from, but some of the details in both games make it a bit difficult for me to accept that explanation (as much as i want to)
vilia in BotW is repeatedly described as "a man sneaking into gerudo town". gives me horrible vibes of "men invading women's spaces", especially since link is required to stare suspiciously at her and is given the option to accuse her for being a man
once you do have the vai outfit and can enter gerudo town, their leader - riju - immediately notices that link's "really a man", rendering the whole disguise pointless. you still need to wear it to enter the town anyway though
you don't need to harass a trans woman in TotK, you just need to sneak in on your own. the gerudo then freak out because there's a biological male in their spaces - they don't phrase it like that but,,, that's how it feels. ugh. one of the returning characters from BotW then vouches for you, giving you permanent permission to enter the town. however, all the random gerudo keep going "whoa a man what the heck" whenever you visit for the rest of the game, no matter what you wear
in both games, the gerudo are written as aggressively heterosexual and constantly fascinated with finding men to kiss. they're frankly not portrayed as positively feminist or remotely queer in any way, at least not to me

one admittedly minor thing: my home instance disables downvotes. is there a way sync can detect that, and hide the downvote buttons like the web ui does? alternatively an option in the settings to manually tell sync that downvotes aren't supported would work fine too
huge obsidian.md fan here. it doesn't have a web editor, but since your notes really are just markdown files it's easy to mix and match with other markdown editors. for quick notes i like to drop into markor on my phone rather than obsidian, since they're compatible and obsidian takes longer to load due to my love of plugins
i use syncthing to get my vault onto all my devices on the fly, plus a git repo for longer-term archival. i believe syncthing doesn't play so well on ios due to system limitations, however, so using the official "obsidian sync" service might be a better bet in your case?
i do have vscodium installed and i use it for our frontend projects, but that's phpstorm!
