I also took the time to disable internal authentication and hook up authentik via the ldap auth plugin. so for my users, I can text them a link, they set up their credentials and verify their email, then they can sign in to jellyfin with the same creds and it automatically creates a profile and everything.
those fpcs are really damn hard to replace. possible, but difficult. if you have a microscope and really fine jump wire you can remove the old port and solder the cable directly to it. just be careful not to rip any pads while taking it off.
if you consider it dead anyways, there's nothing to be lost trying!
