To this day it just drives me mad how this isn't just calculated per second and per listener. If my kid listens to 10 hours of junk per day and then streams some influencer's 45 second song, that person earns the same as when I turn on some 30 minutes progressive rock song and nothing else for the month.
If anything, streaming platforms should take the money they get from a person and send a fixed percentage of that to each second of content that person listened to.
No. Don't differentiate. There's literally no good reason to use that shit if you're supposed to learn about what you're doing. It'll just result in you learning less. Just don't use jetbrains. We're currently removing them from our work environment for that reason.
With these stories I often wonder how people even get the personal details about you that would allow them to send somebody to your physical address...
he was playing "Rust," a multiplayer video game, on his personal computer when another player asked for access to his computer to check that he wasn't using any cheat codes.
Just had a discussion with a friend who teaches comp sci at the uni I used to go to. He asked the new first semesters which of them were using AI. The ratio was literally one hundred fucking percent.
That's just misdirected. The people who teach and educate, at least from what I've seen (and mind you, I'm from Europe from a country that doesn't have a for-profit university system in place), are quite often just passionate about their topic. Them being part of the same messed up system as you doesn't mean they're the ones to blame.
Except psychologists argue that hooking kids to The Dopamine Machine ^TM^ it's in fact different as it wrecks your attention span. Just as playing games or watching movies is said to be different than reading a book as the latter requires you to use your brain to imagine things whereas the former two are just passive consumption. This comic is oversimplifying.
Company makes three and a half funking billion euros in three months and everybody is going mental about how deep the shit is that company is in. I'll never get it.
It is of course well known that careless talk costs lives, but the full scale of the problem is not always appreciated.
For instance, at the very moment that Arthur said, 'I seem to be having tremendous difficulty with my lifestyle,' a freak wormhole opened up in the fabric of the space-time continuum and carried his words far far back in time across almost infinite reaches of space to a distant galaxy where strange and warlike beings were poised on the brink of a frightful interstellar battle.
The two opposing leaders were meeting for the last time.
A dreadful silence fell across the conference table as the commander of the Vl'hurgs, resplendent in his black jewelled battle shorts, gazed levelly at the G'Gugvuntt leader squatting opposite him in a cloud of green sweet-smelling steam, and, with a million sleek and horribly beweaponed star cruisers poised to unleash electric death at his single word of command, challenged the vile creature to take back what it had said about his mother.
The creature stirred in his sickly broiling vapour, and at that very moment the words, 'I seem to be having tremendous difficulty with my lifestyle' drifted across the conference table.
Unfortunately, in the Vl'hurg tongue this was the most dreadful insult imaginable, and there was nothing for it but to wage terrible war for centuries.
Eventually, of course, after their galaxy had been decimated over a few thousand years, it was realised that the whole thing had been a ghastly mistake, and so the two opposing battle fleets settled their few remaining differences in order to launch a joint attack on our own galaxy---now positively identified as the source of the offending remark.
For thousands more years the mighty ships tore across the empty wastes of space and finally dived screaming on to the first planet they came across---which happened to be Earth---where due to a terrible miscalculation of scale the entire battle fleet was accidentally swallowed by a small dog.
Those who study the complex interplay of cause and effect in the history of the universe say that this sort of thing is going on all the time, but that we are powerless to prevent it.
'It's just life,' they say.

I live in one of those "never forget" nations that promised to never forget something... but it seems that we, too, managed to forget.

Wat?
Like... why?

We're just doomed.
I'll just assume the second word (or the first, doesn't matter) should have been "correlation". It doesn't make sense otherwise.

So you're arguing that capitalism and its greed are not an ideology?
You need more warmth?
And the turtle too
But why would you do that?

That's cool. It's also quite lossy.

Privileged American cats with nine lives. Where I'm from they only have seven.
It's there but the instance I'm on already announced it'll shut it off due to the whole drama. Oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Read the context and if anything, it made me want to use the app. Can't find it though, links are all dead.
/edit Yeah, that was a dumb take. Just heard about the script in his farewell message that would ddos am instance. Fuck that shit.
It just baffles me if music artists, of all people, use AI for their videos. Ugh.
Now do me a favour and take a look at where those 9 subs are lying around and tell me it's just as far away from inhabited areas.
Spoiler: it's not.
