I've looked into this locally and a number of stores ban filming inside without written corporate permission, some ban smart glasses outright and it seems reasonable to assume smart glasses are filming if worn. Just a path for any retail workers reading to pursue their own workplace ban through management, hr, corporate or other means.

As a cashier comfortable speaking for all cashiers, these sorts of checkout charity and pushing them verbally or on the pinpad should be illegal. So overwhelmingly sick of them. Regardless of if they get a company a tax break or not, streamline the checkout process for the sheer quality of life improvement. Ban them.
