Using grub is a poor idea since Windows boot manager has a habit of breaking things if you do, the only way to avoid windows bricking your bootloader is to put windows on a separate drive and change the boot order in uefi
I think the biggest issue is the 2fa for transactions which is annoyingly inconsistent between allowing SMS verification and requiring an app 2fa. I know that I have had fairly consistent issues with capital one in this respect, I don't know if it is prevalent elsewhere
We're still at least a couple of years out from that, the biggest issue at present is app compatibility, specifically in the context of banking apps. For everything else it is usable with some minor quirks
While I disagree with the premise of the bill, I only take issue, when it comes to application and enforcement, with sec 103 not explicitly stating what is stated in other sections that the verification method shouldn't be based off of government Id. However, saying that, I think that if it were possible I would be okay with this legislation, but I cannot fathom a way in which you verify someone's age without using government id, considering that the only proofs of age as far as I am concerned is birth certificate and the documents that are based off of it.
Unattended remote desktop has been the major sticking point for my switch, I have gotten it to work once I have logged in, but someone needs to log me in after a system reboot. I heard they were working on this with the new login manager, but I haven't heard anything more about it.
There is a reason why the arch community had such a bad reputation when it came to newcomers, they were gate keeping good technical knowledge of the system. It had the side effect that most people became royal dicks on the forums and stopped being helpful, but it did have what I would consider the intended effect of people being wary of everything they did on their system.
I find the easy arch distros to be fairly interesting since my recommendation has always been that anyone who wants to daily drive an arch distro should install arch through command line at least once and read about the packages they use. I personally run endeavor os, but I started by doing the leg work, which led me to the conclusion that I prefer flatpaks over aur if it is available because they are far more easier to maintain good security practices on.
The general idea is that the production of the electronics is far more destructive than making an ICE drive system. I am not well read on recent changes, but there was a point where that statement was true, but even then the electronics weren't worse from greenhouse gas standpoint, just from other toxins.
Even if you aren't a dev, any user that chooses to use the aur should do their due diligence. There is a reason why I prefer flatpacks over aur, I don't want to have to check diff's every update.
Be careful with relying on it though since it has more holes than swiss cheese due in part to lazy devs who request unesecary permissions & the sandbox being slightly flawed from a security perspective.
Iirc they were proven under a supeona to have ram only servers, which isn't to say much, but that already makes them much better than most VPN providers out there
If you are running gos I am unaware of any issues, but I know that the stock os for the pixel 9 pro has a bug that stops the screen from responding, even across reboots. When I had to deal with it, I could only fix it via adb with a specific image from google that took me 5ish hours to find

Windows yes, windows 11 no. With jump to 11, the TPM 2.0 requirement removed a great deal of the usable devices based upon one hardware spec that was only really common as of 5 years ago. In addition, win x16 apps have not been supported since win7 despite them working under wine, or at least more so than nothing. This coupled with the push to web apps on the os has all but killed the legacy apps aspect unless you consider them to be the apps which have had updates in the last 10ish years, which I disagree are legacy.
With all the money they receive from this incredibly intelligent business decision, they are going to stop it from crashing every two seconds... Right?
FOSS devs especially, you do this for the good of everyone for little benefit to yourselves.
I guarantee that most contributors who aren't being paid are doing their commits out of spite, but I can definitely applaud them for being as vindictive as they are.
If someone knows the specifics on them I would be happy to know, but I feel like there is a lot more heat generated in a data center, of any useable size, than could feasibly be cooled using radiators.

Keep an eye out for Intel, they have been making strides lately, and they generally have similar compatibility to amd on Linux
