finished Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman last week.
I finished up the most recent DCC book a little while back (and they are great) but my god the paragraphs of game guide description stuff is too much...
Racing simulator that launched in the early 2000s and is still going. There have been some rough times but overall the feeling of admiration is hard to deny for the 3 (mostly 2 now) devs. A couple years ago they updated it to create and allow mods and this year they released a public test for new graphical updates. I don't even play often anymore but I still check for updates almost daily :)
You mentioned Squad and I think it definitely applies here. I don't like competitive multiplayer games anymore but Squad just hits the sweet spot and especially when you find a good server with a nice mix or regulars and randoms. It's also not quite milsm, which is a good thing.
HW3 is by far the worst in the series. On paper you would think Deserts of Khatak would be the worst but that one is fun and actually feels like a HW game but HW3 is just abysmal.
This is probably the 5th time I've gone back to it after a long break. I was really tempted to restart from the beginning but decided to continue from where I am. It's such a beautiful game and so far I've mostly spent my time hunting and fishing :D
I don't finish any many games but something like the Mass Effect **trilogy was, by the end, a bit of a chore but I just wanted to finish off the storyline.
Thomas Was Alone, I'll be damned if I wasn't getting those rectangles to freedom :D
Use one of the Lemmy apps that filter keywords or even an RSS reader. You can solve your own problem here...
This is one that's been on my to-read list for many years now...

I hacked my kids 2DS recently and now I just play it for fun :/
Seriously though, keep it alive as the the DS consoles are still awesome.
I haven't read your whole post but noticed this bit. It doesn't have to be all or nothing.

Event Horizon
I watched it earlier in the year with a huge misconception to what it is but highly recommend.
Also any Wes Anderson film because it's going to some eccentric wonder and the less you know the better.
If it wasn't GTA I doubt anyone would notice and/or care. It's the equivalent of an exclusive interview or something.
Red Dead Redemption 2

Teach us your ways oh artful one
One of my favourite tracks and I will always remember Vermeulen winning in the rain in 2007.

What a crazy end to the sprint! I was hoping Binder would get top spot but fair play to MM
for falling off at the perfect time:DAmazing. I've started to move away from lemmy.world now because of the loading errors so this is perfect.
