It's a show of how huge the demoscene was, and is here in Finland. Remedy Entertainment was founded by a bunch of demoscene veterans, as were most big game studios here.
Genuinely curious about what made you choose systemd-networkd over NetworkManager. I've always just gone with NetworkManager without really comparing the alternatives.
I was at a bar in Tampere (a city here in Finland) last week and met a guy with a phone running Sailfish OS. I've been interested in them for quite a few years so I asked him to let me see it and he did. Even though it was a 6+ year old phone it was running smooth as butter, the initial UX was awesome.
I really hope this becomes a reality and that the phone isn't just another cheap chinese touchscreen device. I am making the switch when the time comes.
I haven't kept up with the cybersecurity world recently. Ever since I graduated I've just been completely fed up with IT. Is there a story behind this? Has a major service done this lately?
Big up for salutem! Have been using it for a few years now. It's very nice, doesn't foam, doesn't have anything unecessary, perfect for someone woth a super sensitive mouth like me. I get ulcers from normal toothpaste, like Elmex.
I consider myself lucky having been raised with Linux. My first ever laptop that I got at 6 years old from my dad had edubuntu on it :) never used Windows on a personal device in my life
Yes, of course. Alternatives consodered, I think the Estonian eID is really well thought out and implemented in maybe the best way possible. Really pleased with it.
BankID is so ass, the one we have here in Finland is a bit better, but the one we have in Estonia is the best.
The Estonian one is by far the most comfortable to use of the three, with even a working and maintained Linux version. It is also tied to the PCKS#11 certificate stored in your ID card, instead of a corporate bank account.

About fucking time
I wonder how this trust-relationship issue could be adressed without having central authorities as CA's.

Closed source is closed source in any case though, and we don't like closed source.

Sisko means sister in finnish
I'm genuinely so pissed and disappointed in the EU. We had a good thing going, dammit!
Oh lol, never seen their comments before.
Ooh, so quirky and cool. 🤓
Type like a normal person

SQL injection in the big 2025...
Is the lost title a quote or a sarcastic joke?

Kuradi lahe
Mobiil-ID and Smart-ID just register a new certificate to your ID, so it's the same mechanism, different UX :)

I have a PiHole for other devices, and netguard with a blocklist
