PC gamers haven't pushed back as hard because the basic facts are NOT the same. The ecosystem is entirely different. I'm not interested in defending Steam or its use of DRM, but the fact that something is illegal doesn't mean it can't happen. Piracy is one of the big reasons PC gamers aren't nearly as affected by the lack of physical media being sold: you just make it yourself. I've even pirated games I already own just because it's the easiest way to have an unmodded install alongside a heavily modded one.
But the lack of options for console gamers doesn't stop there. Not only are the hardware and software environments completely locked down, but demographically, a much greater number of console buyers are going to be those with bad or no internet. They can't just download whatever from wherever. If they lose the discs, they may lose access entirely.
Honestly, it's the main draw of car ownership for me. I try to bus and bike as I often as I can, but getting in the car and driving down the road is the only way I can actually be sure that if I start screaming, no one can hear me.

My dog died last month and this is genuinely one of the ways I grieved him. Couldn't cry as loud as I wanted in my home without starting to worry others could hear me, so into the car and off I went.
They're never any more coherent than that. I'm not 100%, but I have them tagged as a bot since the first time I saw them I misread their name as "clanquer." Pretty sure they only manage to say things that sound relevant by virtue of sheer volume
To be fair to past you, it was not at all clear that our legal system was going to actually follow the law in this case. Nor is it easy to sue someone about anything. Plus, who knows? I assume these judgements aren't immune to appeals, anything could still happen.

I first started disliking NPR in 2016 when their coverage was so bad that I felt compelled several times to ask them to stop pretending Bernie was fringe, but that obviously never changed. I'd say I get fed up enough to send them a thing like once a year. They don't care; their big donors have always been corporate, even before their federal funding got cut.
Last time I sent feedback I was asking them to make local stations' newscasts accessible on NPR One; I can't find an archive of any local station's newscasts, and the only way to listen to them online at all was to first skip past the national one and just hope the local one was queued up.
Since I sent that, I no longer get my local casts on NPR One at all. Probably a coincidence, I must be tuning in at the wrong time of day... Idk. Fuck em.
