Your best options are going to be from Japan because they have the biggest dumbphone market in the world, so companies still design new ones. Your best option will be through smaller 3rd party sellers or directly from the manufacturer's site. Many Youtube videos in the dumbphone community can give you better examples. Just be careful about getting a phone that is 4G or 5G because 3G service and under is getting cut everywhere. Also, asian networks use different frequencies than us in the Americas

This law isn't targeting minorities even though minorities disproportionately represent the religiously active population. I think there is a difference to be made between banning the people themselves and banning the preaching of their ideology while working a government job. Race and country of origine have nothing to do with whether a person works for the government , but their personal values do. It is a fact that religion divides people more than anything else and whether we agree with this bill or not, its not unreasonable to want better social cohesion.

Yes, this Court challenge certainly matters to the whole country because its challenging the very basis this federation was built upon. Canada is great because it is essentially 10 individual states unified under a single flag, easing economic and military collaboration on the global stage while our internal affairs can be flexible and accommodate differently accross the VAST land Canada covers. So no, it is not the federal government's business.

I'd love to suddenly have nukes and protect ourselves from the Americans but i don't think there is a feasible way to do it without the Americans knowing. I think the only way would be an agreement where France would station nukes in Canada until we can make our own, but I'd be flabbergasted if France actually had the guts to do that. It wouldn't be a violation of NATO but it could certainly create some kind of Cuban missile crisis between France and the US and Germany would convulse and wage an economic war against France, potentially threatening the existence of the EU as a whole.

I don't think i was very clear. What i meant to say is that the type of people to find and engage in niche online communities that relate to tech are going to be significantly more likely to use an operating system different than the average person, thus Lemmy users, who often advocate for freer consumer technology as the existence of this platform is mostly a protest against major social media sites. These consumer freedom tech communities will always be biased towards Linux and could create circlejerks where we convince eachother we are on the right side of things. Last asterisk, i know most users here are still windows or mac users. But instead of Linux users being 2% of the community like in the real world, we could be 25% instead, thus greatly exaggerating real life support.
