I would not call the daily terrorizing of Palestinians by Israelis in the West Bank simply "invading" or "occupying". The USA even calls them terrorists. Let's get with the times
I've been using it for years, runs smoothly. Phones are not ready for mobile GNU/Linux is more the reality. Low level firmware and drivers specific to each phone that is, else the OS is pretty solid.
Calls, texts, web browsing with full Firefox all work. Android app emulation bridges the gap, you can install from Google Play
Why do people insist on using an occupier's language, you've already lost when you do so. Someone taking land of another nation by force is not a settler, they are a terrorist.
I've been eagerly following all your posts. I think Fariphone is a great target with a history of others choosing it as a phone series to support. Thank you for your service, might just end up getting one from your shop.
My biggest painpoint with transitioning from Android to Linux is no Bluetooth pass through to Waydroid, but that's a whole different thing.
Its companies like this, purchasing the subsidized Deck, with no revenue circling back to Valve, that contributed to them needing to charge full price for their Machine & Frame, raise prices on the Deck.
I hear you. I only wish the Fairphone had a headphone jack and microSD at the very least, but I would be so nice to have something faster than the Librem 5 despite me appreciating the blob free/jailed chipsets
Wireless chips use a standard M.2 interface, same as SSDs, it would be weird if companies didn't support this in the future. 4G - > 5G I think was already proof enough that it can be done.
The operating system is open source, so anyone and their AI agent can add support in the software/firmware.
Librem 5 has an upgradable modem, originally came out with 4G and people have gotten 5G working. WiFi/BT can be upgraded the same way, like a Nintendo Switch cartridge. Can use Waydroid to download WhatsApp, has a headphone jack, plays music, replaceable battery, spare screens for sale in case it ever breaks. Fairly repairable, but not to the level Fairphone is with all their easy, modular pieces.
Speaking of Bluetooth, if you manage to figure out this one, it is probably the biggest blocker for me I've had from being able to fully move to Linux + LineageOS via Waydroid: the ability to share Bluetooth with both the Linux host and Waydroid simultaneously like you can with many other IO. Not sure if NFC has this same issue.
Its clear that PC is the future console. I've been buying in GOG primarily, and Steam only when it is not available there and has no chance of ever being there. Even your Android TV can play light games with GameNative installed

Not only was it already done, it then got ported to PC in 2160p 4K UHD https://github.com/perfect-dark-pc-port/perfect_dark

Hope you manage to find a way for US/Canada, especially given how hard it is already to get a hold of a Fairphone in North America
I hear you for sure, used to be a lot more bugs. My comments are based on Mobian Trixie, Bookworm was buggy, I hear PostmarketOS is also pretty good.

ATL & Waydroid/Lepton will bridge you over
It says right in the FAQ you don't need to be a union member to apply, just someone in the US or Canada laid off from a game studio
Everyone laid off gets $2 at that rate. If it has momentum before the sale/fundraiser is over, maybe it will be $10.

It's not a welcoming community there, guy who manages it is kind of fringe
