And of course everyone knows LLMs are going to solve all the world's problems, so anything that would slow down their development is causing untold harm to people who you could have saved if you'd just ignored all other concerns and put all resources into training LLMs.

But they can only do that because others are doing traning, no? There's no point at which you can go "okay it's all inference from here", the model needs to be updated with new information/guardrails/context to continue being useful for most use cases
