Sure badly built or unprioritized public transit infrastructure might suck, but busses and trains sure are amazing when prioritised, built correctly.
Many European cities combine well functioning train, bus and cycle infrastructure, which together makes it possible to go anywhere at any time for cheap.
I think it really just comes down to prioritizing to develop the infrastructure (costs money and requires political will to move away from car based infrastructure).
Also I don't think a pod system would solve any of the problems of either cars or trains/busses and would be much more expensive...
Air conditioning is very uncommon in my country, because of the climate, so we do not have it. It is insulated quite well, but it probably also helps that there are only two outer walls, while the rest are walls separating apartments. The building is from the early 70's, so it is not that old.

Tænker at have backup af de vigtige data til enten cloud, eller en anden PC på en anden lokation (eller måske begge).
Har også kørt med mint Cinnamon det sidste 1½ år. Har også hjemmeserver kørende på proxmox, og kan klart anbefale det. Har primært været spil server indtil videre. Næste projekt er at få lavet NAS og self host immich.
Kommer an på hvilke spil du spiller. Langt de fleste spil (inkl. alt hvad jeg selv spiller) kan installeres og køres uden problemer ved hjælp af proton. Se evt protondb

What happened is that the state supported postal service company, Post Nord, will no longer deliver letters however some other private company which was already delivering other packages, will start delivering letters instead of Post Nord.
For me Fairphone has been good. I bought my fp3 on release in 2019 for about 400 euro and it is still going strong today, 6 years later (I am in fact using it right now)
Not to say that there haven't been software problems at all but it has not been that bad and was fixed over time.
It is not that working shouldn't give anything beyond what you get for not working, but that everyone should have access to money to live for.
I am from Denmark and here you earn a fair living wage for most jobs and you have plenty of opportunity to get a high paying job. But for those who are unable to work or work as much or for some other reason are unemployed, they still get paid a small amount of money that they can live for and still has access to things like free health care and free education.
So if you "sacrifice a substantial part of your life" to make a lot of money, you can do that and earn the luxury you get from that. The system just ensures that everyone gets enough to live for, whether they are working or not.

The interior walls in my European apartment are made of a thick layer of reinforced concrete I find it quite unlikely any bullets will go through...

Am not using docker yet. Currently I just have one Proxmox LXC, but am planning on selfhosting a lot more in the near future...
The app Made O'Meter tops the danish app hitlist on playstore. I think it is free and it does the same thing. Idk if it is available on IOS.
