I liked the story of outerworlds but the mechanics and gameplay were never that interesting and it lost me, had to force myself to finish the game and I'm glad I did but oof.
I think information is useful. I see no problem giving people the information and vehicles for making decisions... but as a society I do think we need to get to a place where we acknowledge that everyone has their own line and trust they are making the best decisions they can be, given the information they have.
I've asked the same question for situations where the court of public appeal has changed the donation decisions and yet people choose to castigate because they believe repreations to counteract their donations are due. I believe progress is progress and it should be rewarded, that is my line. Others will disagree and that's fine.
Sorry to barge into the chain, but does it add fractional measurements? Its one of the things I miss most about using 3dsmax. Its not the worst, but i do hate converting decimals to fractions on the tape measure when measuring lumber.
Im just sad that they didn't take the oppertunity tondo something real cool and give us a film or two within the gap that everything got blipped. It made everything feel hollow and consequenceless.
Agreed whole heartedly. Im a leftist through and through and It's the most important thing I challenge friends on. How much grace should be afforded to those who have illustrated a capacity for change?
We have to give people an achievable path forward, if we commit ourselves to condemnation then we condemn ourselves to failure.
It is a W, it'd be more of a W if they hadn't completely fucked grants and medical research funding. The truth is that it's insane what the medical community has to do to research the medical viability of something that was ruled to have no medical viability, despite at the time it was scheduled showing promise and continuing to show promise outside of the states and in the medical studies that have bent over backwards to follow the rules.
Psychedelics were once viewed as one of the most promising breakthroughs in mental health treatment and because of Nixon and Regan and their racist war on drugs, that legacy has been kicked down the road.
I'll concede that it's a minor w, in a sea of shit, piss, and blood. But I'm gonna count my blessings.
To clarify, what's morally decrepit is someone passing judgement on an expectation thats the result of distilling down the richness and complexity of a relationship to something transactional and material, so devoid of empathy and compassion.
The truth is that the OP meme is meant to point out how a kid is being slighted because there MAY not be a transfer of wealth. We have no idea how wealthy the parents are, whether they are spite spending it, whether they didnt have retirement saved up and couldn't afford the house and viewed it as their retirement. I agree that it's admirable to want to and then to actually leave wealth to your children. But the expectation is repugnant.
Id just count my blessings that my parents can take care of themselves in retirement and beyond and not have to count on family to come in and take care of them, which is an unfortunate truth for a lot of families in the states.
I dont expect shit, and it almost seems morally bankrupt to expect a generational handout. You get something or you dont, thats life.
Everything ive read about in the states would indicate that unless you consigned or agreed to something, that debt is not yours. The problem is it doesnt stop the debtors from lying to people, and once you engage or make a payment, you do accept responsibility, as fucked as that is.
It doesn't matter who you voted for, neither group is putting the effort needed to protest and shut what the government is doing down. All parties are culpable to what is going on.
Im no different, I'm also guilty of this, but I recognize I need to do more and I'm trying.
Feeling righteous and indignant on the internet moves progress backwards and allows the bots to win.
If I remeber what they put correctly, i think it's a bit silly that it was moderated. There used to be a reddit inside joke called a switcheroo where you intentionally misinterpret the parent comment in a way that would have also made grammatical sense. The joke is the word play, its not deeper than that.
If it was more than that, and I'm seeing they had another comment that was moderated and I have no idea what it said, fair game.
If you can speak to the specifics of why you found the writing bad, I think thats fine. If your critique is just "writing was bad". Well then maybe think on it for longer before sharing your opinion if you dont want to be lumped in with the chuds who also arent going past skin deep with the same opinion.
I have major issues with The Last of Us 2, a game that was also piled on by right wing chuds. I did enjoy the game, but there are issues i have with character motivations where I think the story writers didn't do enough to convince me that the characters had the conviction they were portrayed as having. I also feel the game had a clear ending that was acceptable and then decided to tack on an additional section because I guess they wanted to resolve somethings that were better left unresolved.
Other than the driving plot forward, once you're able to ignore some things yeah, enjoyable game, with some missed potential.
Ultimately I also think its about recognizing that these things are other peoples yums, and i think critiquing them is ok, but stating something like bad writing is objective and doesn't seem subjective. You are denying someone who thought the writing was good. You're allowed to not like something, but dont yuck it.
I went to Japan with 3 friends, all of us male. The itinerary was public and shared, we made discussions on where we were going each day. In train stations and cities all 3 of them asked me how was it that I didnt need to pause and could just keep walking to our next location. I pointed out the signs with perfectly legible english/romanji. The signage in Japan is great.
I get compliments on my perception, and refer to it as a minor super power of mine, but I think it's because I'm just constantly looking around.
If i had to guess they scrambled to hire help and the helps not coming so the consequences of their actions are finally sinking in and theyve reached the acceptance stage of grief.
While you have a point, are you suggesting we continue to let them be victimized by doing nothing and continue on with the status quo? Sometimes forests have to burn and the old has to die to let new life flourish. Such is a fact of nature.
You see i did vote blue so this doesnt include me, but logically, you could make the exact opposite argument. This is what the DNC wanted by not courting people who clearly defined what it would have taken to get their vote. I dont agree with the protest voters actions, but i do agree with their principles.

I agree, but I think their point was more or less, so am i not allowed to buy a new car?
So a more helpful answer would be, buy used and private or used and at a dealership that isn't associated with a brand.

/signed by someone who is also flabberghasted

Ah let me look it up, Gesaffelstein is a 40 year old music producer, dj, songwriter out of France. Very kid, so young, much wow!
While you have a point, are you suggesting we continue to let them be victimized by doing nothing and continue on with the status quo? Sometimes forests have to burn and the old has to die to let new life flourish. Such is a fact of nature.
I used to, but i slowly just merged them all into one. It was exhausting.
