Fucking useless and infuriating. From Ottawa… Most, but not all of the 416 is 110 but once you get on the 401 it’s back down to 100 all the way from the 416 to the west side of Kingston. Then it’s 110 till you have to slow down to 100 again through Belleville. Back up to 110 again till you have to slow down to 100 at The Big Apple in Colborne. Up to 110 again at Coburg. Down to 100 when you get to the GTA. Have these two halfwits ever driven on the highway? It’s sooooooo helpful when the accordion effect is purposely induced. I don’t care if the limit is 80 or 130. Just leave it the fucken same all the way from the QC border to Detroit ffs
The sensor for your car is usually hidden behind the front bumper and has fresh air blowing over it as you drive to give an accurate measure of ambient temperature. What would your phone be measuring? Your body temperature if it’s in your pocket. The temperature of the battery is going to spike when in use or charging. Turning the screen on even for an instant to check the time is going to significantly spike the temperature. ANY use of the CPU/GPU is going to get hot. Nowadays the whole phone is a heat sync to dissipate heat generated by everything inside. There’s probably a dozen other things I haven’t mentioned that would make this a bad idea.
I’ve tried it. It’s very slow. The app on iOS has two “modes” to choose from when connecting. One is labelled “Fast (Wireguard)” and the other is labelled “Anonymous (Mixnet)”. The “Fast” mode is still two hops so it takes forever to establish a connection. You get to choose the entry and exit nodes though. The “Mixnet” is 5 hops. Slow af. Barely useable at all.
I’m on my second Accord Hybrid (4yr leases) and it is hands down the nicest driving car I’ve ever owned. I wish they would just “finish the job” of fully electrifying the damn thing. The hybrid powertrain operates as a pure BEV 99% of the time. The ICE is only there to generate electricity for the electric drive motors and to charge the anemic little battery. Remove the ICE and fuel tank, then stuff it full of batteries and they’d have a winner. That would be especially true for the Civic as it now has the same hybrid setup and it’s the best selling car in Canada. Civics are everywhere! I don’t want a Model 3 but I’d snag a BEV Accord or Civic in a heartbeat.
Does this actually surprise anyone considering Google already pays Apple a bazillion dollars every year to be the default search engine in Safari… I know they’re not exactly the same thing but the two companies are already in bed together.
Kerb, tyre and Hoover are a hard no for me. Two are weird and one is a trademarked brand name (yes, I say facial tissue not Kleenex) I wouldn’t Dyson my living room so why would I Hoover it?
We already say fish & chips and we have chip wagons not food trucks. I’m happy with that and spelling colour and flavour with a “u”. Cheque with the “que” is always going to be better than “check”. Lorry sounds silly, I’d rather use their other commonly used term “HGV”. I’ll add that I say trash bin rather than garbage can.
Last but not least… it’s pronounced zed not zee!!
It’s a bit of a workaround but split screen still works fine just like it always has but you have to create a “Shortcut” to do it. I can’t elaborate too much more right now because I’m on my iPhone and when I tap on that shortcut it says it’s not supported on this device. I’ll update from my iPad (with screenshots) when I get home after work.
I wonder if that’s why their huge presence at the grocery store after the Tangerine Twat started attacking Canada has all but completely dried up. The only option I saw for Kicking Horse last time out was small bags of pre-ground coffee. No more whole beans and no more variety of blends etc.
Arctic is primary and Voyager is the backup.
Arctic seems to load more remote content when scrolling without having to go into each post to see what’s it’s all about.
Add me to the list of happy customers. I’ve had Hue since day one. I’ve tried a dozen other brands as new products come out but none ever come close to the rock solid stability of Hue gear. FWIW, I’ve got about 25ish bulbs, plugs and wall switches running flawlessly.
You assume privilege. Let me correct you. I work two jobs and put in over 70hrs a week. I’ve been doing that for over 10yrs. That’s not privilege, that’s working my ass off to get ahead. I will admit that I’ve been very lucky in that my line of work was not negatively impacted by Covid. But that’s as far as I will concede.
You said it yourself. The Costco card has different reward percentages depending on what you buy and where. The benefit of this new card is the complete lack of categories. It’s just 2% across the board on all purchases at any store. When I shop at Costco I’d effectively be getting 4% cash back. 2% on this credit card and 2% because I have the executive membership.

Do they expect us to believe that there’s 12 tons or 24,000 pounds of chocolate bars in that little dinky toy of a truck?

That’s Lou’s studio from Unbox Therapy on YT. Article
Is this really asshole or just incompetence?
I’m thinking of Hanlon’s razor.
Yes

IVPN has this feature for iOS, iPadOS and macOS. I’m sure it would be in the android app too.

Kirkland brand chewy granola bars are manufactured by Leclerc in Brockville ON.

You’re absolutely right. I totally forgot about Costco only accepting Mastercard and debit.
