My partner still has functional socks and underwear from the 90's. Last pair of the sturdiest pants in the store ripped irreparably after three washes.
To say things are 'just' a bit lower quality is quite the understatement.
We're pivoting to buying fabric, and making our own fucking clothes. cheaper now, time included
When you arrive, make sure the engine is cold.
Check all the fluids.
If there's milkshake in the radiator or the dipstick, that's a no-go.
if the trani fluid is dark and smells burnt, that's a no-go.
Start it.
If it's hard starting, maybe pass.
check the paperwork, make sure the VIN matches and that the title is clear.
I've never had an issue with a car that had a reconstructed title, but also I've only bought cars older than 2000, because fuck modern cars
Three star michelin place. bottomless dom with the appetizer.
Which, is not actually really any better than bottom shelf andre brut or cooks and such. Any good wine should be less than $20 a bottle, with exceptions that were brought out for each other course. The name, price, and dick waggling that comes with it is the point. So if you never get the illustrious Dom Perignon, don't fucking worry, just make sure your shit's chilled all the way through before you get to the function.
Never knew raw oysters could actually be good. The presentation and explanation of each dish and subsequent wine pairing was great. Fabulous time, worth it. I think it was something like $700, all told? Bucket list of my partner's, so double points.
SOMETHING ELSE that's super fucking worth it: Taking a cross-country trip on the Amtrak in a sleeper car. It's first class, super bicycle friendly, and included in the ticket price is three full meals a day, with a boozy drink at dinner. Last I checked, it's over a grand from boston to the west coast, but it's like living in steamer trunk for a few days and is just super fucking rad
Community can be tricky. It's always easier to join one than create one.
So I suggest looking up and reaching out locally, see what and who you can find. See how your place can integrate with them, whoever they may be
There's a lot of workarounds to a lot of these issues, and they're all far more accessible in something larger than a sedan. lol
I do think actual solutions about the housing crisis, like, say, rent control. Rent control and taxing unoccupied units like they themselves owe the state money.
Would actually be ways forward, this whole letting college students sleep in the parking lot is fucking stupid
I hold a thumb up against the middle of the blade when starting a cut, to keep it straight.
If you're not dead on target, they cut curves, in the opposite direction of force. If that makes sense. It's pretty fucking amazing for getting shit to fit right, once you've got the hang of it.
But for straight cuts, just make sure it's angled correctly. Don't put sideways forces on it.
Your muscle memory is built for push saws, and holding a pull saw works differently
I don't hate the style, I'm fairly well versed in it actually.
But yeah, they're pretty fragile. There isn't a typical house in the US you couldn't cut clean through with a sawzall. No problem. Whatever.
My point was there's no fucking wisdom in it, there's no thinking about the future, there's zero planning ahead. Wisdom of the market my fucking rosy red asshole.
There is absolutely not some grand master overlord scheming about the next upgrade and how to implement it.
It's some fucking dipshit trying to afford more oxys by using the cheapest shit he can.
And they're sure as fuck not using inch thick osb. Christ they don't even use that in commercial unless it's both mandatory and expected to be inspected. 3/4 might be code, 5/8 is what gets used, except everywhere 1/2 will do.
Furthermore, OSB, at any thickness, is fucking trash that disintegrates at the first whiff of moisture. You ever see a house in florida with OSB?
But no, the fucking plan, the great wisdom of the market, is to build a sodden pile of shit, that is worth less than any work you might put into it in ten years, pay to have it demolished, and then pay to have it rebuilt.
Meanwhile, the owners of the house built in 1927 are cutting it off the foundation, excavating it, and adding an extra floor. For less money. Some of the lathe and plaster might crack.
Which is the leftover part that's not useful for making nukes with.
Still radioactive, it's basically hazardous waste... That weighs more than lead.
So you put it in munitions, and the same size projectile has more force, more stopping power.
So you get more damage out of each round, plus convenient disposal of toxic waste, plus the radiological contamination around your targets, which either ties up more resources or gives the people you're shooting at cancer later. Or both! Or your own guys!
veritable carnival of excitement

I don't like that my taxes are paying for their weapons and propaganda, which you're gargling down like a hot cumshot

Sounds like you just need more practice.

Oh fuck right off. Of course they do.
I'm still going to eat.
They're putting it in the munitions on the drones
Fascinating idea. I bet that'd be a hit with the weighted blanket crowd
Drinking iced beverages in extreme heat is a good way to get heatstroke.
Your thermoregulation sense will think you're cooler than you are, and you'll stop sweating.
Seems counterintuitive, but hot drinks in hot weather is wiser

There's no wisdom there, dumbass. They build it that way because it's cheap.

Garbage take.
I don't buy AAA games. Because paying for a code and waiting four hours for the rest of the game to download is bullshit.
My biggest gaming spending spree in the last five years has been on itch, and I can make my own physical copies of those
