Someone I know showed me the email they sent out, it was worded "we do not believe the impacted information includes customer credit card or bank details". Deliberately vague so they could walk it back if caught out (as they now have been).
Like anything these days I suspect it's a profit maximisation thing. They push the stuff that makes them the most money, and since people don't usually keep the full menu in their head if they can't remember it they can't order it.
I realise that, but I don't see what footage they wouldn't have been able to get after the race that they couldn't get during the race. Or do they not have access to all the onboard cameras on the cars during the race? That would explain it but I'd be surprised if that were the case.
It's an EPUB file that's been optimized for a Kobo device.
And no, I don't have Calibre running behind this anymore. I took the database Calibre (since I used it previously) had already created, loaded it with Calibre-Web, and it had enough capability that for me at least, I don't need the desktop app anymore. I'm sure there's any number of reasons why someone might, but for me, it works on its own.
What version of Calibre-Web are you using? Mine has support to upload an image for a cover. I'm just using the latest docker image from ghcr.io/linuxserver/calibre-web.
My current workflow is pretty basic, I took my Calibre library I already had, dropped it into Calibre-Web and moved to a fully web based setup (so I don't use Calibre at all anymore, just Calibre-Web). I've got the Kobo integration working too so I can mark books to sync to my device through the browser and then just sync my Kobo wirelessly.
I tend to use the Kobo store to purchase new books so I'm a bit lax about grabbing local copies of everything, but whenever I do get new books I can upload them into Calibre-Web, edit the metadata after I match the book, and then I'm good to go. But I also don't add books that often at the moment, so haven't seen much point in investing much time into further automation.
Ticketmaster already powers other event listings across the Apple ecosystem, including Maps, Spotlight Search, Photos, and Shazam, so this is an expansion of the partnership.
Looks like they've been working with them for a while now - while Apple Music integration is new, they're already doing this in other parts of the OS.
My go to choice for this is ocserv to run a Cisco AnyConnect server, and sniproxy to sit on port 443 and handle traffic routing. You configure sniproxy to go to a different server by hostname, and configure ocserv as the fallback option to access the VPN. Any host I expose via sniproxy provides its own HTTPS certificate via my Traefik server.
Wish it was global and not just US only. I know I can probably run a VPN and get it working but seems like a lot of effort when I have access elsewhere.
So in Qatar, we need Max to win the race, Oscar to come second, Lando to come 9th, and then in the sprint, Oscar to win, Max in 8th and Lando behind Max. There's other ways to do it as well of course but that sets up a three way tie going into Abu Dhabi.
It probably could if everyone did it the same way. But I suspect that isn't what's happening, so while our brains pattern recognition the message reasonably easily regardless of the substitution, doing that at scale with regex would be a lot more difficult.
The comment about convenience trumping almost everything else reminded me of this old post (wasn't originally on The Urban Dictionary but they have it now under the definition of Linux).
When you board the plane, you are given a seat, four bolts, a wrench and a copy of the seat-HOWTO.html. Once settled, the fully adjustable seat is very comfortable, the plane leaves and arrives on time without a single problem, the in-flight meal is wonderful. You try to tell customers of the other airlines about the great trip, but all they can say is, "You had to do what with the seat?"
Probably seems random but I was really hoping to see an expansion of the glamour dresser functionality they added where sets could be grouped together to include the Alliance Raid gear. Dungeon gear can be grinded out solo for most older stuff and with duty support if it can't, but Alliance Raids need at an absolute minimum 3 people - more depending on the raid (LotA needs 12 minimum because of the Atomos, Orbonne I don't think can be cleared with 3 because of Agrias even if the previous two raids can be, and I've not seen a 3 man NieR raid yet, and definitely not Myths of the Realm or Jeuno).
So you would tend to hold onto AR gear over dungeon gear purely because it's harder to replace. Being able to group sets of 5 pieces into one glamour slot would be perfect. Especially with a whole bunch of new glam dropping this patch!
There's probably a betting market on Kalshi on whether they comply or not 😂
Both my phone and my watch went off together, and cancelling one did not cancel the other.
"Are they still paying us?" "No, they left a while ago." "Fuck em." - How I assume the conversation on that went.
(Probably too much to ask that they had deleted your info after you left so couldn't actually contact you.)

This was November 2019. Plex clearly beating inflation.

100%, no reason this should have been a post race penalty if it's going to be a time penalty.

Or if Lando has car problems and has to take a new engine or something and ends up at the back of the grid.

Anecdotal obviously but our local GP clinic that used to fully bulk bill and had stopped has gone back to bulk billing again this month.
Calling / reaching out for help is the obvious one, but sadly being able to get their last words out to family is also a consideration.
