They’ve had some controversy ever since they were bought by IGN. Stuff like keys being removed if you don’t redeem them quickly and expiring keys in general. There were a few other things that I can’t think of at the moment but you could deep dive if you’re curious.
I was mostly prefacing it because some people don’t want to support them but they are legit keys and it will be a better deal.
If you’re ok with humble bundle it’s in the humble bundle monthly along with some other good games like tunic for less than buying just the game alone.
Yeah between them pushing for AI and that "mistake" with the emails... I am pretty leery of gog at the moment. There are a couple other resellers on that list right now though that are selling steam keys so if you have a discount at HB or a voucher at fanatical those look like they would be promising avenues.
The controls feel ... off... somehow. It looks pretty, it hits a lot of the notes for gameplay. The change in how the characters are portrayed is ass. Not worth the asking price... if it was a 19.99 msrp it would be more in line.
I still have the last breath of "modernly supported" with an nvidia 2080 that I'm planning to upgrade when something amd is on sale in my budget. So far there are a couple hiccups that are entirely nvidias fault but generally everything runs fine. As far as display and gaming support it's been great. Everything just works on steam et al. Performance has been really good.
That is my point though. The original mod just showed up and was being worked on for years. No word from valve. Then they rebuilt into a new engine and wanted to sell it.. and I figured that valve would get upset.. but no they just gave their blessing and put it on steam. AFAIK crowbar never asked to make the mod or the full rebuild and only talked to them after the fact... and valve was like "sure... go for it". That's why this felt oddly different.
You should always check with the IP owner first aside... this does seem like an uncharacteristic move from valve. Like... black mesa existed as a mod for a while... crickets. They remade it in a new engine... crickets. They put it on sale on steam... and valve endorsed it. afaik they never asked permission... but even if they did it's weird to have a team doing a fully 3rd party remake of a core game and being fully endorsed by the company.
But here you have someone well known, doing a skin essentially... that only works on the valve product... and valve has issue with THAT? odd.
I know a Sega Dreamcast when I see one. :)

Hard to say. There are a ton of rom hacks and games that feature mm so who knows. Best to get it earlier than later I guess. 🍋️
You can remap any button on the switch 2 in the settings. Game chat is just the default setting.
That's been a feature on ITAD for ages... I forget how bare bones Steam is...

So the answer would be Java Minecraft. Got it before beta started and have been playing ever since.
