I don't use this razor much except for when I travel since it could be easily replaced or would not be heavily missed. I do like the small handle though, it's very maneuverable

I admire your patience learning to hone razors. I get a bit frustrated just sharpening a kitchen knife but it doesn't seem worth paying to do it, especially for the cheaper knife that tends to need sharpening. When my good one needs it I'll probably have to have someone do it for me.

First time using the boar brush in a while! I prefer my various synthetics andy badger but variety is the spice of life. Saguaro smells really great but I do have a very slight sensitivity to something in it. After a while I start to feel a little irritation just around my lips. Luckily it's barely noticeable and no redness or lasting irritation.

I just got some Saponificio Varesino too. It does take noticeably less soap than softer soaps to make enough lather. Good stuff

Didn't post all weekend but did shave! Saguaro Blossom is a great scent! I hope it comes back some time.

I work from home but I can go in to the office whenever I want. I just don't usually because it takes a bit more time and effort getting packed up and getting there. But I went in today the first time in a while besides for planned events like lunch socials. It's good to make myself get out and have a bit more face to face interaction.

After killing my Haverford and giving the SV a good first few tries this is the first time in a bit I've used one of the other soaps in my rotation. I've been holding on to this one using it pretty sparingly but I think it's time to start using it up. Got maybe 1/3 of it left.

Fourth use of this soap. Scooped it again and loaded and lathered in the bowl. It smells wonderful, and it produces a good lather. It does go a long way due to being a hard soap which helps justify the cost.

Scooped and lathered in my Captain's Choice bowl. This soap is still soft enough to scoop and press into a bowl easily. But it is hard enough that it's pretty concentrated. I scooped a bit less than I normally would and still could have scooped a bit less. I could make this soap last a loooong time if I always scooped it and used a synthetic that isn't much of a lather hog. I mix it up though but should get a lot of use from this soap

Edit: AND I didn't plan it this way but this shave fits the BVSC theme in that, well I bet could make this soap last a good six months if I really tried, so despite the high initial price point, it's pretty cost effective, what with high gas prices.

This was what was left before the shave. Used probably my thirstiest brush, a 26 mm Maggard boar, bowl loaded and lathered. It took a little bit to get it all loaded but it's gone now. Matched it with my genuine Tobacco Vanille fragrance for the occasion.
